Age certainly isn’t a barrier when it comes to finding love on the internet – at least not where 81 year old Wu Jieqin is concerned!

Jieqin is a retired Beijing art professor and he recently married Jiang Xiaohui, 58, after meeting her online and falling in love.

“The Internet doesn’t belong to the young alone,” he told the Beijing newspaper. He said he had been using the Internet since 1998.

“There are no rules against old people seeking love online.”

Oddly enough, before he was able to marry his new bride he had to overcome the objections of Jiang’s parents (aged 85 and 86) who feared he was too old to marry. Lucky for him the bride won them over!

“His voice is very youthful. Not like an 80-year-old,” Jiang told the paper. “He’s very romantic.”

Wu, lonely after divorcing a decade ago put a lonely hearts notice on a Chinese website last year and that’s how he came to find Jiang.

“As internet mates of his own age did not suit him, he set his sights on a woman in her forties or fifties,” the report said.

Wu said over 50 women responded positively to his ad, including prospects from the United States, Australia and the Ukraine. Wu met several, but things clicked only when with Jiang, a retired railway worker from southwest China’s Sichuan province.

There are dozen of Spas operating in Russia’s Caucasus Mountain region due to the mineral springs in the area.

As with many fancy spas these days it seems that colonic treatments are a specialty.

In June, the Mashuk-Akva Term Spa in Zheleznovodsk unveiled a large monument to the enema.

It’s an 800 pound brass syringe bulb held aloft by three angels. Sounds like quite a strange tribute if you ask me! The monument was apparently inspired by Botticelli.

One banner near the monument says “lets Beat Constipation”.

Unfortunately for them the association of Texas Medical Doctors says that the ankle is not part of the foot.

A lawyer representing Texas podiatrists: “You don’t have an ankle. The foot actually includes the ankle.”

A state appeals court in March sided with the medical doctors, but the podiatrists say it’s not over yet and that they may continue to treat ankles even though they are licensed to work only on feet.

A two month old dolphin at the National Aquarium is lucky enough to have three mothers. The little dolphin is being nursed by three females!

Aquarium staffers are amazed and watching the process. Apparently female bottlenose dolphins can spontaneously produce milk if a calf is present, but the practice isn’t well document – hence the fascination.

The calf was born to a dolphin
named Jade who’s now being helped in her mothering duties by fellow female dolphins Chesapeake and Shiloh. The calf was still un-named at the time of the press release.

Obviously the 36 lb, three foot long calf is nursing regularly and is swimming on it’s own. The calf has also begun to interact with trainers and toys.

Dolphin calves are fragile and not easily handled during their first two to three months of life, and trainers at the aquarium are leaving the nursing duties to its mother and her helpers.
