“I, like every other stupid American, assumed the kangaroos would meet us at the airport and they would want to hug us as much as we wanted to hug them,” she told AAP news agency in an interview in Los Angeles.

“That’s really the perspective we have here. Going there kind of opened my eyes that that’s not the case.”

Please tell me that this isn’t true … that all Americans expect Kangaroos when they arrive at the airport in Sydney?

A Michigan man has landed in jail all because a game of Monopoly went awry!

The 54 year old man was playing the game this past Saturday night with a female friend.

During the game he tried to buy Park Place and Boardwalk from her, but when she refused he got angry and hit her in the head and broke her glasses!

Chill out man! It’s just a game.

He’s been arrested and charged with misdemeanor assault and battery.

Seriously … why would anyone do that to their face and chest?

Maybe he has trouble growing chest and facial hair so he just did what he could with what he had?

Honestly, that’s the only reasonable explanation I can think of for this look. What are your thoughts?

A hug? Was he HIGH?

While visiting the QixingPark with classmates he jumped the 6.5 foot high fence around the pandas enclosure. The park was pretty much deserted at the time.

The Panda, Yang Yang, bit the student on the legs and arms.

Two foreign visitors saw the attack and ran to get help from workers at a nearby refreshment stand.

The student was pale as he was taken away by medics but appeared clear-headed, he said.

“Yang Yang was so cute and I just wanted to cuddle him. I didn’t expect he would attack,” the 20-year-old student, surnamed Liu, said in a local hospital, according to the official Xinhua News Agency.

The student had to have surgery for his injuries but he was expected to recover fully.

The Panda, Yang Yang, was behaving normally the following day and didn’t seem to suffer any negative psychological effects.

The facility might consider putting more signs up around the enclosure however the park employee was quoted as saying “We cannot make it like a prison. We already have signs up warning people not to climb in,” he said. “There are no fences along roads but people know not to cross if there are cars. This is basic knowledge.”

There have been other incidents in the past in other zoos where people have tried to climb into panda enclosures and have been attacked. Pandas may be cute but they are still wild animals capable of attack.

It seems that while using the washroom aboard the train, he accidentally dropped his mobile phone into the toilet. He bent to retrieve his phone but as he was fishing around his hand became trapped in the toilet.

Firefighters had to cut through the u-bend to free him. Witnesses at the scene say that that “He came out on a stretcher, with his hand still jammed in the toilet bowl, which they had to saw clean off.” The accident occurred on Sunday’s 4:47 pm train from La Rochelle to Bordeaux, in western France.

Train service was delayed for two hours as the victim was rescued. It’s thought that his hand became stuck due to the train toilets powerful suction system which drains the loos on board.

I sure wouldn’t want to be the guy on the back of this ATV.

I have no idea if it ever did flip backwards, but from the look of this photo my bet is that it did and that poor guy at the back probably got squashed – real bad!

More than a year ago a man has been visiting one business after another at night and pressing his naked behind and sometimes his groin on windows.  School janitors, store owners and church works have been kept busy washing lotion and petroleum jelly off the windows he’s vandalized.

“This is the weirdest case I’ve ever seen,” said police Chief Ben McBride.

Some residents of Valentine find this strange form of vandalism humorous and have started calling the perpetrator the “Butt Bandit”.  Those that have been vandalized tend to cringe when they find his marks.

“We were completely grossed out,” said Kalli Kieborz, who works in a downtown building. “One day I walked into the office and an employee said, ‘Oh, my God, we’ve been struck!’”

The police chief is far from amused.

“It’s not funny,” McBride said. “We’re worried about the next step.”

It started in spring 2007, when the window of a Methodist church was greased with an imprint. McBride figured it was a high school prank. But the church kept getting hit, even after police staked it out.

The bandit struck business after business, window after window last summer.

Then he — and maybe, McBride said, copycat vandals — stopped over the fall and winter.

“People said he was done,” McBride said. “Then he started back up this summer.”

During one particularly brazen session, virtually all the windows at a local hotel were imprinted.

McBride said no one has reported seeing the vandal in action. The only clue is a blurry picture of him caught by a surveillance camera at the middle school last year.

The man was 6-feet-tall or slightly taller, and slender. He had a dark complexion, and McBride said the man’s dark hair was styled in a “1980s, feathered look.”

Valentine, in remote north-central Nebraska, promotes itself as “The Heart City.” Downtown sidewalks are painted with hearts, and locals encourage people from around the country to send their Valentine’s Day cards to the local post office so they can be mailed out with the word “Valentine” stamped on them.

“This is not normal behavior for Valentine,” Cherry County Attorney Eric Scott said. “It’s not funny or something people want to be exposed to.”

21 year old Charles Ray Fuller was recently arrested in Fort Worth Texas after presenting a check that he’d taken from his girlfriends checkbook to Chase Bank.

He’d filled out the check, making it out to himself for the amount of $360,000,000,000.00!

Yeah, right!

When he was arrested he assured the police that the check was legitimate.

He stated that his girlfriends mother had told him to take the money to start a record label. Uh huh.

If she did steal from the company leaving town might have been a good move, but what she did next was extraordinarily dumb ..

She apparently applied for a job in Pittsburgh this past May and guess who she listed as a reference? Yeah, the company that she had allegedly stolen all that cash from – Murphy Motors!

DUH!

Her old employer alerted Pittsburgh police when someone at the place she’d been trying to get a job checked her references and she was then apprehended.
