Someone forgot to tell him the holiday are over!

I think someone forgot to tell this little dog that the holidays are over … or perhaps he’s just having an extended party? Must have been some Christmas and New Years in that house!

Speaking of the holidays I’d like to wish all of you a belated Happy Holidays and a very happy and healthy New Year! Maybe 2010 be everything you hope for!

It was Christmas even and all through the house, not a creature was stirring, not even this mouse … er … hamster?

Ha! It looks like Hammy here found my stash of Christmas leftovers! Hey that’s mine … get your paws off it.

Oh well!

I don’t think these birds could get any close together! They must be huddled in a tight group to keep warm now that winters almost here.

The bird in the middle is probably the warmest but it doesn’t look all that happy. What do you think? Have you ever seen birds sitting on a wire like this?

Even a dog needs a best friend

Aw, isn’t that sweet? Even a dog needs a friend to help him get a drink every now and then!

The child barely looks old enough to know how to operate the fountain, let along coax a dog to use it to get a drink. Good for them! I think they make a good pair, don’t you?

You know you’ve got a problem when … a group of ducks are swimming through your kitchen!

I guess this person lives in an area that had heavy flooding! I guess the water didn’t go down too fast if the ducks felt comfortable enough to go inside for a tour!

Well, at least the home owner looks amused!

Squirrel in a sticky situation!

You just know that these cats are wishing there was a ledge connecting them to the window sill that that cheeky squirrel is sitting on!

Even so … it looks like the squirrel is searching for another escape route just in case one or all four of the cats decide to take a chance and go after him!

I wonder if the cats did try to go after him? I know the cat that used to live next to use when we were in an apartment didn’t let a little thing like a jump to a ledge stop him from coming over to visit us and did in our plants!

Pig dressed as a cop? Ironic

Here’s a little irony for ya … a pig dressed up as a cop? Uh huh …. Can you smell the bacon?

At least I think it’s a cop … I don’t recognize the uniform. Perhaps it’s an European police uniform and hat?

I love the look on the pigs face. He looks like he’d make a stern cop. What do you think?

Now that’s probably the most stylish rabbit that I’ve ever seen.

Hmmm I wonder if it’s really a hare style or if it’s a comb over to hid a bald spot?

Maybe the rabbit’s gone Punk? What do you think?

Rats with Backpacks

You know … I live in Toronto and a 39 day garbage strike just ended – Thankfully! Believe me, with everyone piling up garbage at the side of their houses and filling public garbage cans to overflowing the rat and raccoon population around here was growing!

I wouldn’t have been surprised to see one dressed like the one above – little back pack and all! LOL

The other day I opened up the compost bin that we have in our backyard to dump some kitchen scraps into it, and as I lifted the lid I saw movement! I threw the lid down and stepped back.

After stealing my nerves and getting a pitchfork, I walked back over to the compost bin and lifted the lid very carefully and slowly with the pitchfork. Whatever was in there was gone … probably out the newly chewed hole at the back of the composter!

I think it was a rat. Arghhhh!

Thank god our garbage strike is over! Unfortunately the pests who love garbage probably increased during this period so we’ll have to live with them for a while.

Trained Falcon playing tennis?

Hmmm I wonder if this Falcon was playing tennis, retrieving the ball or catching it as a trophy?

I wonder if the owner scented the ball in order to train the bird to retrieve it?

Mmmm a mouse scented tennis ball … could be a hot seller. LOL

Either way .. I’m not sure I’d want that Falcon on my Tennis court!

It would make the game a little more exciting though, wouldn’t it?
