Wild turkey smashes through family’s window
Last Monday a Livingston N.J. family got a rude awakening. One of the wild turkey kind and no I don’t mean they had a hang over!
A two foot tall wild turkey came barely through the families double pained window last Sunday morning.
Lena Rosenblum, homeowner, told the local paper that the sound was so loud that she thought a tree had crashed through the roof of their home.
The turkey appeared to be uninjured and it’s not known what might have caused it to crash through the window. Perhaps it was being chased by another animal?
The family called the police, however once they arrived the beep from one of their walkie talkies startled the bird causing it to fly back into the woods.

Hi…this is the homeowner. Just wanted to correct you. You mentioned the turkey barely came through the window. In reality, the turkey flew and crashed into the double-paned window smashing it to pieces as well as knocking out the screen. She came through so hard she laid an egg. Yes, it was cracked! She then sat their stunned and motionless for a good twenty minutes before the presence of the police startled her and she flew back out the window. It was a very loud crash. Like I said…so loud, I thought a tree had fallen through the roof. Have a great weekend, Chris! ~L
