Brazilian convict lives in luxury!
If they ever did a television show about which inmates have it good perhaps Brazilians would top the list.
Recently the luxurious lifestyle of a Northeastern Brazil convict came to an end. Police confiscated a plasma TV set, gym equiptment, two guns and cash for a total of about $173,000 from his cell.
How big are their cells in Brazil? Seriously!
Police raided the cell on Monday in a statewide crackdown on drug trafficking. Hmmm drug trafficking in jail – uh huh … and no guards had noticed all the luxury goods in the cell prior to this?
Authorities have ordered an investigation as to how inmate Genilson Lins da Silva managed to get 280,000 reals ($173,000), two .38-caliber pistols and other items into his cell at the Bahia’s Lemos Brito Penitentiary.
Not only did Silva who is serving a 28 year sentence for robbery and murder live a luxury life in prison, but he also had the cell to himself.
